The New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA) is partnering with credit unions to offer their college-bound members a scholarship opportunity. The program is designed to provide funds that would be used toward tuition, room and board, books, and school supplies. NYCUA awards scholarships to be paid jointly to the student and educational institution.
Am I eligible?
The applicant must be a member in good standing of a participating New York credit union who meets all of the following criteria:
• Is a college-bound high school senior at the time of submitting the application
• Is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2026
• Will be enrolled in a two- or four-year accredited educational institution or trade school
• Agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2027, at an accredited educational institution only
Application Process
To apply, eligible members must complete the scholarship application form. Applicants should use only the space provided on the form to answer the questions. Other than what’s specified below, no attachments, resumes, pictures or other material of any kind should be submitted or used to answer the questions.
If an applicant is a member of more than one credit union and submits an application to both, only one application will be scored for a state-level award. Both applications will be considered for any credit union-level awards that may be available.
